Last night was just craziness! We were given excellent floor seats (much better than those I bought) by Madonna’s team. We were seated in a row of beautiful and distinguished looking women. As we spoke to them I realized that these were Madonna’s personal friends and staff. Before the show her son David came to greet them, he was so cute and friendly. We sat next to a super nice Portuguese girl who gives Madonna’s children piano lessons in Lisbon. The show was fantastic! Madonna is clearly suffering and was holding back on her dancing as she should! However she sounded fantastic! Her vocals keep getting better with age. I got chills when she sang acapella a few lines of ‘Unforgettable’ by Nat King Cole!!! She also sang a line of ‘I’m still standing’ by Elton John as well as a Cesaría Evora cover and she did a heart warming tribute to the late Celeste Rodrigues accompanied by her great grand son Gaspar Varela on Portuguese guitar. This week was a roller coaster of emotions so I’m so grateful that M’s staff took notice of my plea and compensated us in a big way. It felt like such an honour in the end. Most of all, thank you to my friends and family and to all the sympathetic Madonna fans that worried for me and felt for me. This is really what has touched me most of all. I know there are more important things in life that pop shows so today I just feel very privileged for my experience and that you cared enough to send me kind words (I believe it may have helped my cause). We are currently on a bus to Spain where we can decompress from this frenetic week in the world of Madame X. Adeus Lisboa! Dear @madonna and @guyoseary, I have been a loyal fan from Canada since I was a child. I am a platinum lifetime legacy member of Icon. January 19th was to be my 15th Madonna show. I traveled to Lisbon with my Portuguese husband so excited and proud to show him this show. Saturday night we hosted a free fan party that you advertised on Madonna.com. No profit just love. I have had 6 out of 8 Madame X shows cancelled in NY, Boston and now Lisbon. This morning I feel betrayed and insulted by how the situation was handled. We were devastated on the street and many of us were crying. The Madame X tour has cost me beyond the price of tickets. It has caused me so much distress and now here we are in Lisbon standing for hours like fools wasting a whole day and in the end no show for us. These were my last purchased tickets. Seriously guys what will you do for us? And for people like us? That lineup was full of fans from Spain, Italy, Holland, Germany, Canada and USA. The most devastating part for me was the half assed apology post. It’s not enough for all the inconvenience, money and emotional distress. Please, make it up to us somehow? We are in Lisbon until January 23 but we do not have anymore tickets. We are not rich people and we have used up all our vacation time. I’m a hairstylist and my husband is a social worker. Please? Something? I’m sorry to say but if you do not respond to me you may have lost me for good this time. Please Madonna I want to continue loving you. Please give me a reason to forgive you.
